Short-span bridges, classified as under 20 feet in length, though critical to our transportation network, often suffer from neglect because their inspections are not federally regulated. These bridges serve as essential connectors between state, county, and municipal roads that we rely on every day.

While inspections for these structures maintain the same level of care and attention as those for larger, federally regulated bridges, the process is streamlined. Reduced paperwork and simplified submission requirements significantly lower both costs and time compared to traditional inspection programs.
